The goal of the Upper Elementary Department is to build a structure of knowledge on the foundation of skills taught in the early years. The focus for students changes from learning to read, to reading to learn. Perseverance and personal accountability are being developed as social skills continue to be strengthened. Students at this level are expected to communicate and collaborate with the respect for others in mind.
