A Message From Father Victor

We Are A Parish School

It is my honor to be part of the St. Francis of Assisi School as the pastor of St. Francis Church. St. Francis Catholic School in Bend, started by the Sisters of the Holy Names in 1936, is dedicated to exploring and developing the unique gifts and talents that God has blessed each child with.

With joy in Christ, I warmly welcome you to another blessed year at St. Francis Catholic School here in Bend. Our school is not only a place of learning but also a community of faith where children are formed in wisdom, character, and love of God.

At St. Francis, we believe education is a partnership between parents, teachers, and the Church. Together, we help our children grow not only in knowledge but also in virtue, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the example of St. Francis of Assisi.

The students at St. Francis have the opportunity to begin their day with morning prayer, attend Mass and Eucharistic adoration, go to confession, read and learn the Sacred Scriptures, and get acquainted with the lives of saints. They grow up learning their faith and loving God, the Church, and their community. Students of all faiths are welcome and honored in our school.

I am deeply grateful for each of you—our parents, students, teachers, and staff—who make this school a true family. May this year be filled with growth, joy, and many opportunities to encounter God’s presence in our midst.

Please know that I carry you in my daily prayers, and I invite you to keep our school community in yours as well. With God’s grace, may we continue to form disciples who live with faith, hope, and love.

Blessings,

Fr. Victor Mena
