Band and Music Teacher
Band is a middle school elective and is taught two periods a week. Music instruction is offered twice a week for Kindergarten through fifth grade. Saint Francis is looking for an experienced music instructor who can take on both tasks. The candidate will also arrange student performances for Grandparent’s Day, Christmas, and Spring term which may take place in the evening.
K-5 Classroom Teacher
Our ideal teacher is innovative and joyful. This candidate holds a minimum of a Bachelors degree and has a current Oregon credential for elementary teaching. Our teachers act as catechists in the Catholic Faith. Classroom experience is required. The candidate must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. This teaching position requires the ability to independently lesson plan, monitor student academic and social growth, report to parents using weekly newsletters, progress reports, and report cards. Excellent communication skills and pleasant team skills are required.
Our ideal preschool teacher has at minimum an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and must be Oregon registry certified at teacher status. This candidate must be able to complete an additional 15 to 20 hours of required training. Classroom experience is required. This candidate must be able lift and carry 50 pounds.
