Before and After School Care
Before and After School Care offers a fun, caring environment for your child. Our staff is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of each child by guiding spiritual, social, academic, and physical growth through challenging and nurturing activities. Before School Care and After School Care are held in room E-1 every day under the guidance of Ms. Caitlin Carey and Mrs. Nun Carillo

Free Choice Time
The goal of Before and After School Care is to provide a safe, enriching, recreational program conducive to learning with a minimum of formal structure. Children are encouraged to pursue their interests, develop friendships, develop a sense of independence and grow in confidence.
Hours of Operation and Fees
6:45-7:45 am and 3-6 pm on school days only, 12-6 pm on early release Professional Development Days
Fees: Registration: $25 for one child $35 for a family
Days per week Cost per month
Late Pick up Fee: A late pick up feel will be charged if children are picked up after 6:00pm. The late charged is $5.00 for any time between 6-6:15pm and an additional $5 for every portion of five minutes thereafter. These fees will appear on your next tuition statement.
Your registration fee is non-refundable in the event you cancel your enrollment. This is not a drop in program. There will not be any daily rates available
Parents may park at the West end of the building and pick up students at
the patio of E-1.
All after-school Daycare must be prepaid.
Enrollment and Authorization Form: This form and registration payment must be completed and returned to the school office. By state law, all children must have an individual enrollment and authorization form on file. For families, this means that a separate form must be filled out for each child. We must be able to reach parents by phone at all times. Due to staffing and space, After School Care is limited to the first 32 students enrolled.
Monthly Reserve Calendar: Please fill this form out completely; marking each day your child will attend BEFORE the month for which you wish to enroll. The daycare fee for the month must also be included with the reservation calendar. All families must have a reserve calendar on file for their child/ren at the beginning of the month.
Behavior Expectations and Rules: To assure a safe and enjoyable program for all the children enrolled, it is important that you and your child discuss the rules and expectations of our staff.
What Leaders Expect of Children: 1. The rules are the same as the school rules. If a behavior is not permitted during school, it is not permitted in the After School Program. 2. Treat others as you wish to be treated. 3. Respect property 4. Follow Leaders’ directions 5. Be careful and play safely.
Our Behavior Management Goals: It is our goal to establish and maintain a behavior management system which will reinforce positive behaviors. The following methods will be use to accomplish this.
Staff will act as positive role models.
Both the group as a whole and the needs of the child as an individual will be taken into consideration.
Rules will be appropriate for each child’s age and stage of development
Rules will be consistently implemented.
Rationale for rules will be explained and related to the child’s well being and to the rights and safety of others.
If a child is not following a rule, a “time out” will be given.
If a child continues to not follow a rule or listen to staff, another time out will be given and the child will write down why his or her behavior is inappropriate.
If a child is consistently disrespectful of rules and staff, the parents and principal will be consulted and a behavior contract written.
Emergency Closures: If school is closed due to an emergency (weather or otherwise), after school care will be closed as well. All parents should ensure that they have an alternative caregiver for their child on days when the program is closed.
Daily Check-In and Pick-Up Procedures: Your child must check in immediately after school. If your child is scheduled to be present and does not show up within 5 minutes, a parent will be contacted. Children must be picked up and signed out no later than 6pm and signed out by a parent or other appropriate adult. Only people listed on the authorization form will be allowed to pick your child up.
Snack: We provide a snack for the children each afternoon. Please let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions.
Personal Belongings: This program is a recreational program and children should dress appropriately for indoor and outdoor play. We request that children not bring toys or personal items from home (including electronics). We are not responsible for the loss or damage to toys or personal items.
First Aid: Children occasionally need the attention of basic first aid for minor accidents or illnesses. Our staff has taken basic first aid and will treat your child if the need arises. Please note on your registration form if there are any medications your child is allergic to or any other special concerns.
