Parent Involvement Program
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School and the School Advisory Council adopted a Parent Involvement Policy (PIP) which has been effective since 1992. The purpose of this policy is to promote a partnership between parents and school to provide excellent educational opportunities for the children. This policy provides support services and a distribution of the parent work load which is needed to operate the school at a reasonable cost. We value the participation and appreciate the commitment and contribution that PIP requires. Without parent involvement, our children would lack those special opportunities that parent/school interaction gives to the entire school.
2020-2021 Mandatory Requirements for PIP hours
No financial aid - 20 hours per year per family
Financial aid recipients -40 hours per year per family
Parents for St. Francis (PSF)
PSF is here to enhance the overall educational, spiritual, recreational and social experience for our children, parents, and staff. It is an important forum for exchanging information and ideas. The 2019-2020 General Meetings are on the second Wednesday every other month at 6:30-7:30 pm at a local eatery. PSF meets its objectives by coordinating volunteer opportunities at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School. There are many areas or activities in which to volunteer your help. For locations see the school News Notes posted in Sycamore.
